Overview
The Hampta Valley Trek lies at 4270m (14039 ft) on the Pir Panjal Range in the Himalayas. This beautiful trek connects the Lahaul Chandra and Kullu Valley of Himachal Pradesh. Known for its beauty, you will see here the landscapes of the Himalayas.
This adventure trek will take you to the valley of wildflowers, alpine Meadows of conifer forest, rock walls, amazing waterfalls, snow-white glaciers, and a lot more. The great adventure will give you goosebumps as you will experience the freezing winds & snow trails.
The temperature in Hampta Valley normally ranges between 12°C to 18°C during the day and at night it ranges between -10 to -15°C. There is a possibility to see snowfall in September - October. All seasons are best to visit. But as the rainy season starts in May and June there, so, a route to Chandratal lake & Rohtang Pass and other places might be closed due to heavy rains.
The trek will go on Manali to Prini village. Prini is a small village in Kullu, Himachal Pradesh. Prini is only 2 km away from Manali. It is all covered with snow, greenery, and breathtaking views.
Moving forward in this trek will take you to the next adventure from Prini to Sethan village, a place located in Hampta Valley known as a place for slow travellers. You will see the breathtaking views of the Dhauladhar range and river Beas. The locals are from the Tibetan community and represent Buddhist culture. Sethan lies at an altitude of 2700m above sea level. Winters are best to visit this place.
After experiencing the snow we will move towards Chika valley, where you will witness amazing waterfalls. Staying at the campsite at Chika is something that everyone desires.
As the trek starts from Manali. So many transportation facilities are available for Manali. You can reach Manali by the given modes of transport.
By Air - There is no airport in Manali. The nearest airport is in Bhuntar, so you can take a flight to Bhuntar and then reach Manali through any taxi or public transport like a bus.
By Bus- There are no direct trains to Manali. There are so many direct buses available to Manali like from Delhi, Chandigarh and other states.
By Road- You can book a private taxi.

Explore Manali
- Your arrival will be at our Campsite, Manali. Relax and spend your day at the campsite peacefully.
- We suggest you take a walk down to the old Lanes of Manali. Go and explore the hippie cafes, vibrating culture and feel positive vibes all around.
- You will be staying at the campsite at night.

Trek from Prini to Sethan Village.
- Wake up to the beautiful sunrise. Freshen up and fill your tummy with the hot delicious breakfast. And prepare yourself for the next adventure - trek to Sethani village.
- We will drive you the campsite to Prini covering the old Lanes of Manali and scenic views.
- From Prini village we will start the trek to the mixture of lush green forest and road taking us towards the Sethani Village. Relax and calm yourself feel the good vibes.
- By reaching Sethan, settle intake rest in the guesthouse.
- Take a walk around the village. See & explore, meet people have a look around to the place and feel the chilly breezes.
- Have your delicious dinner and sleep early give rest to your body so that you can enjoy the final destination i.e. The Hampta Valley.

Trek to Chika in Hampta Valley
- Wake up to the sound of chirping birds and breathe fresh air.

- Wake up and enjoy the sunrise in the mountains and snow for the last time, as its time to say goodbye to this beautiful place. Have Breakfast. We will do a trek back from Sethan to Prini.
- After reaching Prini, you will leave for Manali.
- Click pictures take a bag of memories with you and say goodbye to this wonderful trip.

Yes, Hampta Pass is safe in all seasons. Hampta Pass starts from Mid-June to October. The post-monsoon time is best to explore the beauty and experience of snow trekking. Summer months of May & June are also preferred as amazing season to see the scenic vistas and lush greenery of the pass. Avoid trekking in monsoon as the trail becomes slippery and risky.
Alcohol and cigarette consumption both are prohibited on any high altitude treks. Because these kinds of activities can decrease your body stamina and make you dehydrated and thirsty. Try not to consume any of these and many trekking tours strictly not allow the trekkers to do any such activities on the trek.
